Dr. GLORY ALEXANDER (MBBS, M.D. Internal Medicine), Founder of Asha Foundation, is an alumni of the renowned Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore. She began her career as a Consultant Physician in the Bangalore Baptist Hospital. She also worked as Specialist, Head of Medicine, in Ministry Of Health, Nizwa Central Hospital, Sultanate of Oman, before returning to the Bangalore Baptist Hospital as Consultant and acting Head of Medicine. In 1998 she started Asha Foundation.

In a career spanning two decades Dr.Glory Alexander has won manylaurels for her commendable work, especially in the field of HIV/AIDS. In 2004 she was awarded the International Ashoka Fellowship Award 2004 for innovative work in HIV/AIDS. She was also the recipient of the National Rajiv Gandhi Rashtriya Ekta Award 2004 for services rendered in the field of HIV/AIDS.
